      Charging Information

This dock supports up to 85W of charging via the USB-C upstream port on the back of the dock (indicated with a computer icon). The USB-C Power Delivery port (indicated by “PD”) supports 18W fast charging for your phone or tablet. The USB-A 3.0 port on the front supports 7.5W to charge smaller devices like smartwatches or headphones. The two USB-A data ports on the back of the dock do not support charging.

      Frequently Asked Questions:

Q1: Will this dock work with any laptop? How do I make sure my laptop works with this dock?

A: This dock works with laptops with a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery. To confirm the USB-C port function of your laptop, consult your user manual or contact your laptop’s manufacturer. If your USB-C port doesn’t support DisplayPort Alt Mode, you won’t receive video output. If your USB-C port doesn’t support Power Delivery, the dock will work correctly with video and data (including audio and Ethernet), but would not be able to supply charging to your laptop.

Q2: Can I use my own USB-C cable to connect the dock to my laptop?

A: It’s recommended that you use the included 3 ft USB-C cable. If you need to use a different cable (due to loss etc.), then any other USB-C cable with support for USB 3.1 Gen 2 and 85W Power Delivery would also be compatible.

Q3: Do I need to install any drivers to use the dock?

      A: No.

Q4: Is this dock compatible with computers that have a Thunderbolt 3 port?

A: Yes, however, it can only deliver a maximum bandwidth of 10Gbps, so it cannot not reach the maximum bandwidth of Thunderbolt 3 (40Gbps).

Q5: Sometimes the dock doesn’t automatically reconnect after I wake up or restart my laptop. What should I do?

A: This situation doesn’t happen very often, but if you are having this problem, try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB-C cable or restarting the dock.

      Unreliable

      Mac Ventura and Sonoma user.

I wanted to like this doc but I constantly have issues. Nearly every time I plug-in my laptop the ethernet is not functioning. I have to unplug and power off the anker doc to restore the internet connectivity. The same goes for my audio interface. This is a huge deal breaker for me. Such a waste of time. I have found MUCH cheaper options that are more reliable than this at its price point.

      Buy Thunderbolt Dock Instead

I cannot recommend buying this product. Anker has sent me two of these products and neither has worked properly. My assumption is that it is simply not powerful enough to manage a user that is actually using all of the ports.

It is very important to me to have a dock that manages all of the connections on my desk as I swap between computers often. When I got the dock I connected everything to it and plugged in my laptop and it worked fine. But, if I plugged this dock into a different laptop, or I plugged in another device to the dock, it stopped working properly (couldn't connect to display, usb devices not recognized, ethernet connection not working, etc.). And then plugging the dock back into the orignial laptop it no longer worked properly. For context, I am switching between a Mac and PC.

And yes, I used top of the line Thunderbolt 4 cables to connect my computer to this dock along with the cable that it comes with and that made not difference.

I would recommend buying a docking station that supports Thunderbolt 3/4 as those will likely be more powerful with the ability to work when multiple ports are used. That is what I did and everything worked fine out the box.

I do have to give it to Anker on support though, they have been very helpful throughout this process.

      Great Dock !

I've been living in the world of laptop docking stations for decades. This Anker 875 is a step up from all that I've been saddled. Replacing a Microsoft Dock system, getting long in the tooth. Out of the box, all function 5 of 5. It certainly reduces the footprint and cleans up the peripherals with a load of ports. A quick overview of prior reviews are interesting as I suspect the users actually want Anker support to deliver and set up the dock & plug in peripherals.

      575 is a major dissapointment

The Anker 575 USB dock is quite frankly a disappointment. It has many USB ports, some of which have high power output, some of which have low power output, and the rest of which are data only with no power output. Keeping track of which ports produce power and which do not is already complicated enough. Unfortunately, the dock also will regularly lose the ability to deliver power to some of the powered ports until you turn the entire dock off and back on again. This means that to be even vaguely useful you have to keep it within arms reach which can be difficult on an already crowded desk, and even then you will need to keep using several other USB power adapters if you have more than a couple of devices in total that need power. The price is way too high for what it actually delivers, and had I known I would have never bought it.

The first Anker product I don't like

A few problems with this one. Connecting to to two external displays using a Macbook M2 was buggy. I often had to unplug and replug the HDMI cables to get it to work correctly.
Check your ethernet speeds when you have this connected. I had some issues with lag during a livestream and decided to run a speed test. I'm on fiber and was getting 300 Mbs download and upload. I tried a different generic USB C adapter with ethernet and was getting 900+ Mbs. Also, I had to use a different USB C cable than the one included in the box to get it to work correctly.
Another annoying thing is the power button the front. Even the slightest touch will turn the device off. I keep an ipad near this device and more than once accidentally brushed the power button when picking up the ipad.

I mostly love Anker products but this one is a big miss.
